Ancient Astronauts — Anunnaki Origins — Introduction by Jonathan David
Two physicists from Nibiru embark on a journey through cosmic time to terraform Earth. In this video, author Jonathan David introduces Ancient Astronauts — Anunnaki Origins, one of his earliest novels, and discusses the inspiration, narrative style, and larger fictional universe behind the story.
The book blends science fiction, mythology, and historical settings into an imagined account of humanity’s origins. Jonathan also previews his plans to narrate the story himself, one chapter at a time, for his ad-free website library.
A Fictional Journey Through Earth’s History
The story begins approximately four and a half billion years ago. From there, Jonathan uses significant events, geographical settings, and mythological traditions as foundations for successive chapters.
At its center are Abdon and Yeshua, imagined as physicists from the planet Nibiru. Their journey takes them into the distant future and through a cosmic transition to the beginnings of Earth, where they undertake its terraforming.
- A vast timeline — The narrative stretches from Earth’s beginnings through turning points in the story’s imagined history.
- Mythology reimagined — Religious and ancient-astronaut motifs become material for a fictional universe.
- Science-fiction speculation — Cosmic travel, advanced technology, and planetary engineering drive the premise.
- A larger struggle — Jonathan describes an ongoing conflict involving humanity and the forces seeking to influence it.
The book’s Anunnaki, Nibiru, cosmic journeys, and explanations of human origins belong to its fictional world. They are not presented here as established history, astronomy, or religious scholarship.
The Inspiration Behind the Novel
Jonathan recalls looking forward to new episodes of Ancient Aliens while he was in college. The questions raised by the show—about ancient structures, technology, and interpretations of the past—gave him material to explore through storytelling.
He describes Anunnaki Origins as his fictional approach to those themes. Rather than offering a documentary account, the novel builds an imaginative story around the possibilities that interested him.
A Story Told Entirely Through Narration
One feature that distinguishes this book from Jonathan’s other fiction is its form: he describes it as entirely narrative, without conversations between characters.
Where his other books may rely heavily on dialogue, this one develops its world through description and continuous storytelling. Jonathan says that approach, combined with the research he undertook to align dates and settings, made it a more time-intensive project.
That research supports the construction of the story; the novel’s imagined explanations remain fiction.
The Beginning of the Timewaves Collection
Jonathan explains that Ancient Astronauts opens his Timewaves collection, which he describes as containing nine stories. It establishes the larger universe before the collection moves into individual narratives.
He also mentions an earlier working title, Coding Humans, and a planned sequel called Andromedan Origins. At the time of recording, that sequel was still awaiting writing. Visit his website for updates on future releases.
Written and Originally Narrated Before Today’s AI Tools
Jonathan states that he wrote the novel and released an earlier audiobook around 2019–2020, before the generative AI tools discussed in the video became widely available.
He emphasizes that the writing is his own and that the upcoming video audiobook will feature his personal narration. He also plans to share recordings of his work on new books for readers interested in watching his creative process.
Listen One Chapter at a Time
The planned video audiobook lets you watch Jonathan read or simply listen to the story. He explains that recording takes time and that chapters will be produced gradually alongside his other books.
His website is the central home for the full audiobooks, podcasts, and other member content, with ad-free viewing and listening there. Social media provides introductions and previews.
Please note: Jonathan is currently adding content and narrating his books one chapter at a time. Check the website for available recordings.
Support Independent Fiction
Jonathan’s goal is to build a sustainable entertainment service for readers and listeners who enjoy his work. Direct purchases and memberships help support the time required to write, narrate, and produce that library.
If you enjoy mythology-inspired science fiction and stories that imagine humanity within a much larger cosmic struggle, explore Ancient Astronauts — Anunnaki Origins and his other fiction.
